Why live if not for the colors of a rainbow?
Why live if not for the green of a leaf?
Why live if not for the splendor of the mountains?
Why live if not for the glory of the sun?
Why live if not for the vibrancy of flowers?
Why live if not for the expanse of the ocean?
Why live if not for the stunning blue of the sky?
Why live at all if not for the smile of a child
Who knows no caste, color or creed
And who cares only for the kindness in your eyes?
For if you and yours were all that mattered
Then meaning becomes shallow and purpose becomes narrow
And the journey just longer
