One Less Day But One More Day

With every sunset I realize I have one day less

To write the books that I wish to write,

To sing the songs I wish to sing and

To see the places I wish to see

But with every sunrise I’m thankful that I have one more day

To give a little more

To love a little more and

To whittle away the part of me that makes me less pure.
